Ten years ago, Quinta da Bufala began restoring a barren hillside in Sintra. Today, with the planting of its 1000th tree—a Sequoia—it celebrates a decade of regeneration and the enduring belief that true sustainability begins by listening to nature.

As Quinta da Bufala marks 10 years in September 2025, its transformation from a debris-strewn hillside into a thriving organic farm and retreat is rooted in reforestation. With over 900 native trees planted toward a milestone of 1,000, the estate’s mission goes beyond restoring land—it’s about healing ecosystems, nurturing biodiversity, and reconnecting people with nature.
